The Foster family are successful Kiwi sheep farmers.
There’s just one problem, the youngest son, Daniel,
just doesn’t fit the mould. Afflicted with hayfever
and driven by a burning passion to write, Daniel and
his father find their differences too much to
handle, that is until their similarities become too
big to ignore.

With 18 years of misunderstandings under
their belt, the scene is clearly set for
this moving tale of father and son
relationships, expectations, disappointments
and tragedy.
The
film is a boy’s eye view of the journey to
manhood. It challenges many long held
stereotypes and encourages us to celebrate
that differences are what make us unique.
Maturity after all is the laying down of
self and the taking up of others.
